New Politics Party Publishes Anti-Riot Handbooks
UPDATE : 12 March 2010
The New Politics Party has distributed anti-riot handbooks to members of the public in Bangkok and surrounding areas, in a bid to help limit the chance of the Red-Shirt protests escalating into riots.

The New Politics Party or NPP has printed 200,000 copies of anti-riot handbooks for public distribution.

The handbook, which provides instructions on what to do and how to take care of oneself in the event of riots, will be handed out to people in Bangkok and its suburbs.

NPP's Secretary-General, Suriyasai Katasila, said the manual is aimed to help prevent the likes of the April riot from occurring again. He also encouraged the public to don pink to demonstrate opposition towards the Red-Shirt protests.

In addition, Suriyasai revealed that the party has requested the Nang Lerng police station and the Internal Security Operations Command's Bangkok unit to provide security at its headquarters, which is believed to be one of the targets for the Red-Shirt rally.

He added that additional security cameras have been installed.
