Soldiers File Charge against Monk

Soldiers stationed at Kavila Monument in Chiang Mai province have filed a charge against an abbot of Sri Boonrueng Temple who poured blood on them on Wednesday.

The monk, Phra Kru Suthep Sittikhun, is an abbot of the Sri Boonrueng Temple in Muang district of Chiang Mai province. He poured blood on soldiers who were standing guard at Kavila Monument in Chiang Mai while the red-shirts in Bangkok carried out their own blood campaign, pouring blood at Government House, Democrats HQ and PM Abhisit Vejjajiva's residence in Sukhumvit 31.


The Sangha Supreme Council has issued an official warning to the monk. If the monk failed to take heed of the warning, he may be forced to leave the monkhood.
