Songkhla's Alliance for Democracy declared their support to drive out Thaksin's puppet government while Chaiyaphum fellows suggested the economic crisis is a lot more urgent than the constitution issue. Following the PAD's statement to discharge Samak's government last night, Songkhla's PAD has declared their support to drive out the puppet government and to overthrow Thaksinism. Had Yai locals have closely monitored the situation in Bangkok via the live broadcast projector in front of the Had Yai train station. Some money, food, and drinking water have been donated by a supporting fund for the rally. Meanwhile, in Chaiyaphum province, the PAD and Thailand's Assembly of the Poor gathered before the Provincial Hall to watch the live broadcast of the rally at Makkawan Rangsan Bridge. The PAD's key members in Chaiyaphum asked the government to be concerned with people's lives rather than the charter rewrite. In other provinces, PAD members have continuously sent representatives to join the rallies in Bangkok, others have held gatherings in their provinces. |
