DTV Soldier-Host Denies Resignation from Army
UPDATE : 20 January 2009

DTV's soldier-host has insisted she will not resign from the military service, adding that her job at the station will not be used as a political tool for a particular group of people.

Lieutenant Sunisa Lertpakawat, author of the book, "Thaksin: Where Are You?" reported to Army Secretary Major General Weeran Chanthasartkosol this morning to explain her plan for hosting the program on satellite-base DTV station run by the red-shirt group.

Lieutenant Sunisa filed a petition with her supervisor seeking approval for her extra job as a DTV program host and insisted she will begin her job at the station when her request is endorsed.

Lieutenant Sunisa insisted she will not resign from the military service as her role as a soldier and a media representative will help serve the country and public interest.

She stated that the program is intended to promote understanding of democracy and human rights principles and judgements of its content should rest with the viewers.

The lieutenant reiterated that she will not be used as a political tool by the certain group of people.
